Description

The SU 100 was a Soviet tank destroyer armed with a powerful 100 mm anti-tank gun and was widely used during the last year of World War II. The SU 100 continued the development of the T-34 chassis begun with the SU-85. In addition to the increased penetrating power of its gun, the hull of the SU-100 featured significant improvements over the SU-85. It proved to be an effective tank destroyer for destroying German heavy tanks and tank destroyers and played a very important role during the final stages of World War II.
